Tools of the Trade - My Unique Blend

To name what I feel are the main tools that I use in my wellness education and practice are the Drop Release tool, the Percussor (from Erchonia,) various tuning forks, and a hand tool from Bodyrocks. These fun and unique tools allow us to communicate with the body in deep ways accurately. The accurate part is the key for how I know the body to work- where power comes from the focus and the direction, not the overwhelming of energy in the body. Where you bring attention and free up movement, you get less pain and more power and range.

A recently developed and patented tool, developed by an innovative chiropractor, the drop release tool makes waves. With it we interact with restrictions and access scar tissue. I can dial up or down the intensity to match the depth and resistance I’m aiming for. This tool is great for hamstrings, hip flexors, and hard to reach abdominal ligaments. It’s really an energy tool that builds a directable and dependable amount of force that lets go quickly.

The Percussor tool is a powered 3D motion generator. It’s fantastically fast at giving tissue a breath of fresh blood, and can suggest that your body release tension for longer than your nervous system cares to resist. It helps facilitate lymph fluid, and wave through neurological holds. When we find tension trapped under a protective bubble, we can match the piezoelectric force gently by matching the level it holds at and quickly release it.

The Body Rocks tool is great for so many reasons. It’s composed of black granite with a bit of heft- it holds strong! It can be a trigger point tool, focusing at the point - or it can be a broadening tool, spreading out pressure to where it’s needed. Its edges are wonderful for scraping through adhesions- similar to a graston tool- but more energetically capable.

Lastly named, but not the least - using tuning forks has been an unforeseen delight. I never would have thought that my interest in wellness would take me into such a unique application of physics. I have weighted and un-weighted tuning forks for working with reflexes, with sound, and tapping into the biofield with these quasi magnetic tools. They are very calming for the nervous system, and profoundly touching in ways that are hard to name.

I can’t point to one moment that led me to each of these tools, but I’m so grateful for them, that they assist so many people in their pursuit of wellness and pain free living!
